See, smell, join in—that's the motto of the Deutsches Currywurst Museum. The interactive exhibition that's centred around the popular snack has been inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the world of sausages since August 2009. The story of Herta Heuwer, the inventor of "Chillup", a chilli ketchup, takes pride of place here, as well as various stories about the currywurst, and famous film clips ("Drei Damen vom Grill" (Three ladies from the grill)), a sausage-shaped sofa or a room where you can taste sausage seasonings. Informative and fun displays about Germany's snack culture round off the topic, and even a display about the ecological aspect of the currywurst has not been forgotten.
